MOMS LUNCH

Ever get tired of eating what your kids have for lunch?  Most the time by the time I get my kids lunch, I'm so hungary I don't want to make anything different.  But get bored week after week of eating the same thing.

The moms lunch is designed to allow moms and kids to get together for lunch.  Kids can enjoy a nice sack lunch prepared by their own mom and the mothers can enjoy something a little more savory prepared by the host for the month.

If you would like to host a mom's lunch please send me an email with the month, date, and time that you would like to host it.  Also include if you need to limit the number of attendees or not.  I will get it posted so that people may be able to r.s.v.p you for the lunch.

TOY SWAP

Have too many toys?  So many your kids don't play with most of them.  Come join us for a Toy Swap, get rid of some of your old toys, and replace them with some new.  Or just get rid of them.

Toy Swap will be held about once every 6 months.

Details to be announced.

If you would like to help with or participate in toy swap please leave a comment below.

Halloween Crafts

With Halloween right around the corner, my kids and I have started a once a week craft day.  Here are some of the things that we have planned.  All these crafts come from the same site.  I love this site.  She has crafts for all ages, and something for pretty much anything you can think of.  She tells you exactly what you will need for each craft, go through how to do it and show you pictures.  So easy and no thinking on my end.

Why beating the mom Funk?

Many of you with children will at some time fall into what I like to call the Mom Funk.  Your day is so full, yet at the end of the day you might wonder what you spent the day really doing.  You start to fall into these slumps that range from, couch potato, book worm, computer fried, Mr. clean, ect.

There are different stages to the severity of the funk and the length.  It changes with the number of kids you have, their ages, if you are pregnant....

I have fallen into this funk so many times in the last several years, that I had to find out if I was really that abnormal or if others had similar experience as me.  After talking with a number of friends, I found that the funk is a very normal thing.  Normal as it might be it doesn't always leave me feeling like a winner all the time or the best mom/ wife.

I've decided to try and create a blog where a mother being plagued by the funk or not might find things to entertain her children, or help her in organizing and balancing different parts of her life.  I hope that many find it helpful and are willing to participate by either sharing comments, or leading an activity or group.
